Delightful, small and vibrant original painting by Dexter depicting Nino Vaccarella in glorious Ferrari 512 at the 1970 Targa Florio.

Vaccarella and his team mate Ignazio Giunti qualified and finished third, behind the two JW Automotive Porsche 908s of Siffert/Redman and Kinnunen/Ridriguez.

Having taken the lead of the race Vaccarella used his intimate circuit knowledge to keep Redman behind him, but Redman knew the JW pit stops would be quicker than those of Ferrari so wisely remained patient, and indeed took a never to be relinquished lead when Nino stopped to hand over to Giunti.
